Lot's of exciting things happening at the moment. We love being out on the road but our other favourite time is hanging around Lazy Eye HQ working on the material for a new album! Especially with the wild weather we've had here lately it's good to be warm with a nice drink playing the blues. On top of that we've got some very special shows coming up!
Those of us familiar with the incredible human being and wonderful musician that is Chris Finnen were concerned to say the least when we heard that due to health reasons he was indefinitely cancelling all appearances. Well, we have brilliant news! On Friday May 12th Chis Finnen is back and performing with Lazy Eye at the home of the blues in Adelaide, The Semaphore Workers Club. A rehearsal was an excellent excuse to convince him to cook us one of his famous curries and in spite of a spectacular array of single malt whiskies, we managed to jam well into the wee hours. If the practice was anything to go by this is going to be a very special gig and not to be missed!
While we're making special announcements we've got one more for the good people of Adelaide. The following quote has been lifted from the supremely talented Dino Jag's website "So thrilled to announce that Lazy Eye have just been confirmed as special guests for the Dino Jag “Stripped Back” Adelaide show on Sat 24 Jun at The ‘Norwood Live’ Hotel. The audience are in for real treat with the addition of Lazy Eye dishing out their very special brew of smokey blues on the night". So there you have it ladies and gentleman. We're thrilled too... and even more so because Dino has made a fantastic early bird offer exclusive to members of the Lazy Eye mailing list. The best way to enjoy this fantastic evening will be at your own table with a scrumptious meal to provide the culinary accompaniment. These tickets will sell fast and the special offer is only valid until May 7th. We've been featuring a lot of David Baker's photography lately. He just gave us a USB drive with literally thousands of photo's of Lazy Eye performing on it, many of them stunning. David is an Australian artist and you can see more of his work at https://www.davidsartprojects.com We're going to leave you with a few shots he captured at our recent show "Blues At The Fringe". Our only appearance at the Adelaide Fringe Festival was presented by the Adelaide Roots & Blues Association. We weren't the only ones having a good time, but any opportunity we have to share the stage with blues legends J.J. Fields and Roger Smith makes for an extra special event. We'll leave you with these great images.
